Making Time for Mobile Games and Myself

Hi there,

I feel like I’ve made solid progress on Mobile Phone Shop Simulator—in fact, a publisher even reached out asking for a test build. But I'm still undecided about moving forward, as their rev-share policy feels a bit too steep.

Anyway, juggling full-time work and game development can get exhausting. That’s why I decided to take a short break from MPSS and started working on a new game called Convenience Store Simulator, which I plan to release on the App Store. The goal is to ship it as quickly as possible, and then move on to launching the iOS version of MPSS Mobile.

After that? I might return to MPSS, or, if I still don’t feel fully recharged, I’ll spend some time on The Tale of Blackwood - a project I consider a passion piece. It calms me. Or maybe i will try to develop a 2D game with using SpriteKit fully native on iOS. On the other hand, Mobile Phone Shop Simulator is something I wish already existed, because it’s based on real experiences. I used to work summers in a small phone and computer repair shop during high school, and working on this game brings back those nostalgic memories.

Beyond all this, I have other projects in mind-like Luna’s Journey—but it still feels too early to talk about them in detail.

Sometimes, stepping away from the screen; walking, dreaming, drawing, or just being with loved ones makes you remember what it means to be alive. I think I need to find better balance; I either work too little on my projects, or burn myself out to the point where I start to resent what I once loved.

I hope you always find the strength to keep chasing your dreams without exhausting yourself.
